Coloplast in South Africa
On the 1st October and shortly after the first democratic elections in 1994, Coloplast opened a representative office in South Africa. 10 years later the South African operation achieved subsidiary status.

A year ago, Coloplast Care launched in line with Coloplast MVV, staying true to Elise's original mission: making life easier for people living with stomas.
Today, our business includes Ostomy, Continence and Advanced Wound care. In all these areas, we are guided by Elise's passion and commitment. Like her, we work closely with people who have intimate healthcare needs. We listen to their needs and respond with products and services that make their lives easier.
Coloplast complies with and take seriously our responsibilities with respect to the Consumer Protection Act. We also ensure that we have an education platform within the industry to ensure that both healthcare professionals and end-users of our products are developed and that their lives are made easier. Additionally, Coloplast also has a nursing service, Coloplast Care, a call centre where users of our products can connect with an appliance specialist and Bags of Hope, a project operated in partnership with the QuadPara Association of South Africa that aids people with Spinal Cord Injuries
